The couple who chose Positano

K. Or and K. Mike were married in Bangkok on 7 May 2025, their honeymoon began seven days later. Wanvela designed a seven-night route, Rome 1 night, Le Sirenuse 4 nights, Capri 2 nights.

Day 1–2 - Rome

TG flight into Fiumicino at 10:40 am, Hotel de la Ville Rocco Forte with Spanish Steps view. The couple in a Junior Suite, with rose petals and welcome Champagne we'd arranged in advance.

First evening at Pierluigi in Piazza de' Ricci, the Trastevere restaurant we book for every honeymoon because the atmosphere is romantic and the seafood is exceptional.

Day 3 - Positano arrival

Morning, a private transfer from Rome at 9 am, through Naples to the Amalfi Coast. Mike took photos from the passenger seat, Marco, in the car, captured Or watching the landscape.

1 pm, welcomed at the porch of Le Sirenuse by Antonio Sersale himself (CEO), with espresso. Or saw the sea view for the first time, the moment Marco caught for the couple's profile portrait.

Day 4 - Capri, private

9 am, Le Sirenuse's Donna Anna boat departed the private marina. Fifty minutes to Marina Piccola on Capri.

The Capri day:

  • 10 am · Blue Grotto, entered via the marina (shorter queue than the standard entrance)
  • 11:30 am · Swimming at the Faraglioni rocks, through the natural passage believed to bring good luck
  • 1 pm · Lunch at La Fontelina, the restaurant on the rocks. Lobster, octopus, Vermentino.
  • 3 pm · Up to Capri town, every designer window on Via Camerelle
  • 5 pm · Back to Positano, in time for sunset from the boat

Day 5 - La Sponda

The night that mattered. La Sponda at Le Sirenuse, with its 400 candles lit. Wanvela had booked window table 2, the best angle in the room.

The menu:

  • Antipasto · raw red prawn, lemon, olive oil
  • Primo · risotto al limone
  • Secondo · sea bass al sale
  • Dolce · sfogliatella with limoncello reduction
  • Pairing: Falanghina, Greco di Tufo, Limoncello di Sorrento

During the dolce, the pianist played "La Vie en Rose" that Mike had requested. Or cried.

"We've known each other for 8 years, married for 5 weeks, and at Le Sirenuse that night, I understood for the first time how marriage differs from love." - K. Or, post-trip note

Day 6 - Path of the Gods

Morning hike, Sentiero degli Dei, beginning at Bomerano, descending to Positano. Four hours, hard work, but the view of the Amalfi Coast from the ridge is the best vantage point along the entire coast.

Back to Le Sirenuse by 1 pm, lunch at the Champagne & Oyster Bar, then the entire afternoon by the pool.

Day 7 - Last dinner

Aperitif at Franco's Bar, the small terrace bar the Sersale family recently opened, with only 14 seats and a full view of Positano.

Dinner at Lo Scoglio (San Pietro Bay, 20 minutes by car), a family-run restaurant Sophia Loren returns to. They take their boats out for mussels from the bay themselves.

Day 8 - Back to Bangkok

9 am, a 3 hour 30 minute private transfer back to Rome Fiumicino. TG flight at 9:55 pm, into BKK at 11:30 am the next morning.

Photo album

Marco delivered 184 photos to the couple nine days after they returned, including a 4-minute video reel that Or posted to Instagram and that received 8,400 likes.

Wanvela honeymoon tips

  • Two nights in Rome, 4–5 nights in Positano, a ratio that works.
  • Window tables at La Sponda need booking two months out.
  • Sentiero degli Dei suits only active couples, not for children or older travelers.
  • Capri day trips need to be weekday, avoid the weekend yacht crowds.
