This private 8-day, 5-night Norway journey with Wanvela is a slow immersion into the Arctic in pursuit of the Northern Lights and the dream-like beauty of the Lofoten Islands. It begins with a stay in a red rorbuer fishermen's cabin on the fjord, exploring the timeless villages of Å, Reine, Hamnøy, Sakrisøy and Nusfjord, walking the white sands of Ramberg and the Uttakleiv Dragon Eye, and pausing at the fishing village of Henningsvær. From there you cross to Senja Island for the Tungeneset viewpoint and Bergsbotn bridge, before closing in Tromsø, the capital of the Arctic, riding the Fjellheisen cable car and visiting the Arctic Cathedral. Aurora season runs late September to late March (February–March is the sweet spot). THB 169,000 per person (6 travelers), with a dedicated tour leader and trip photographer.

"Eliassen Rorbuer was the highlight, a red wooden cabin on the water, the Reine mountains framed in the window. We watched the Aurora from our own pier; didn't need to leave the cabin. The photographer captured the frame that's been my wallpaper all year."
"The scenic drive through Lofoten toward Senja was the unexpected highlight, every turn another postcard. Then the wooden walkway at Tungeneset stretching out over the Arctic Ocean and the Bergsbotn bridge. Unreal."
"The guided Aurora chase from Tromsø took us 80 km out into clear skies, we watched intense green ribbons for an hour. Combined with the nights from the Lofoten pier, we saw Aurora 3 of our 4 Arctic nights. Worth every minute."
